- About KevinThere comes a time in a person’s life when they finally decide to pursue those dreams they’ve always had as a child. Those dreams that have been put on a shelf and have collected an inch of dust. Dreams that call out to you begging you to capture them. Well, that’s exactly what happened to Kevin Alderman. One day he decided life was too short to not pursue his dreams. So at the ripe ole age of 40, he set out on that journey. So, there he is. In Charlotte, North Carolina. January 31st 2007 standing on a rickety little stage in a smoked filled bar at his first open mic ever. Knees shaking…heart pounding…wondering what the hell he’s doing up here? His first joke, “I got into a fight the other day. I’m lying on the ground with a broken nose and a cracked rib thinking to myself, why did I marry this woman?!” The 12 person crowd went wild and from that point on he was hooked. Since then Kevin has performed at comedy clubs up and down the east coast. He’s also formed his own tour called The Midlifers Stand Up Tour performing in country clubs and theatres throughout the southeast. His first comedy competition was second place in the Steve Harvey comedy competition in Charlotte, North Carolina. Not a bad showing for a middle aged white guy. He’s also been actively pursuing his love of acting which he feels dove tails very nicely with stand up comedy. A couple of major movies, commercials and a play with which he received great reviews for his portrayal of a greasy redneck NASCAR loving drunk. He admits the role wasn’t really that hard to pull off. “I live in Charlotte, didn’t have to look far for inspiration!” Thankfully Kevin has spent the first 40 years of his life unknowingly gathering material for his show. Dysfunctional family members, marriage, kids, business…life. With that much life experiences he’s sure to please audiences on all levels. His unique way of turning childhood situations into comedy gold is priceless. You’ll be saying to yourself “I can’t believe he experienced that” while laughing your butt off. It’s ok, you don’t have to feel guilty-it’s friggin hilarious. And with a unique and surprisingly different perspective on everyday topics he will keep you in stitches from the time he hits the stage to the time he says goodnight.

- ActingI’ve always wanted to be an actor. When I was 18 and immediately after graduating from high school me and my friend moved from Lexington Park, MD to Miami, FL and my dream was to be in pictures. Well, that proved to be a little tougher than I thought but I never gave up even though the dream lay dormant for many years. Now I’m back and…Risin’ up, straight to the top. Have the guts, got the glory. Went the distance, now I’m not gonna stop Just a man and his will to survive! You know you’re gonna be singing that song all day long now. The Rev-Red Carpet Myself, the wonderful Pam Galle, The Guru JD Lewis and an amazing actress-England Simpson [caption id="attachment_187" align="alignnone" width="152" caption="Buster in AmerWrecka"][/caption] This is me as Buster in a great play I did with JD Lewis. It was a great character to play because I got to just let myself go. No haircut or shaving for six weeks. Also as I’m sure you can tell by my protruding midsection I needed to put on a few pounds for this guy. Leatherheads SetLeatherheads was fun! Me, George and Renee had a moment…no big deal to them I’m sure but I thought it was cool. Bolden SetThis lady was so cool. After the first day I made sure I got her for make up every morning. Me as Buster This is six weeks of “letting myself go” Can’t believe I got a woman to put her arm around me Me and the Verizon Guy doing a commercial at a Nascar event. Notice the look a like off my left ear?
